The Parade of Homes 2013

It’s September, Central New York.  As we begin to hunker down and prepare for the upcoming autumn and winter seasons, there is still plenty to do around town.  Once again, the Home Builders and Remodelers of Central New York present the 2013 The Parade of Homes, which takes place September 7th through September 22nd.  This year’s featured houses are located in Jamesville Grove Estates, which is located in LaFayette, New York.  For more information, please visit the Home Builders Association’s website, the Facebook page, and check out Twitter for more information and updates.

For over two weeks, you are able to walk through eight homes and admire their artistry.  Pretty much everything is fore sale, furniture and art, and one house is still on the market (and this will be revealed to you).  Please come see the homes designed by Harringtown Homes, Smolen Homes, Zellar Homes Konrad Builders, Mark Antony Homes, Martin Custom Homes, and Sciuga Custom Builders. The daily times are as followed:  Mondays through Fridays from 1 PM to 8 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 6 PM.  For entrance, the cost is only $10 for adults and $9 for seniors (65+) .

As you can see, there is so much going on with the Parade of Homes, and the event seems to get consistently better with each year.  I have attended The Parade of Homes in the past, and I have yet to be disappointed.  This year’s homes are not enormous and not overdone, because they all capture a classic feel to them.  The houses may have sold, but the decorations and furnishings are still for sale, so come by and look at everything from local and national artists and designers.  There are a few pieces that caught my interest.

The home builders, the realtors, the designers, and others are readily available to answer any and all questions about the homes.  The staff showed me around, and everyone was more than courteous.

Looking to get out of the house for something to do?  Come on over to Jamesville Grove Estates in LaFayette.  You have two weeks to come by and come back.
